Thank you both so much! I had a wonderful time and met some really amazing people at BDUC 19. I signed up to dance at the last minute and my only intention was to do a really good show and finally get over my fear of competitions. I did it! and, Bringing home a trophy is icing on the cake!!! YIPPIE!

Hi, Atl & Tonya.
You did it! Another year – another great competition. It went so smoothly -- very organized. Did I mention that I had a GREAT time….. It is like a breath of fresh air….
Atlantis, you should know already, but I wanted to tell you again how /beautifully/ you danced on Saturday night. You gave a wonderful show – singing and dancing both! You also looked amazing in the red feather cape, your costume was perfect (great bod!!!) and your dancing brought tears to my eyes. I love to watch you dance! No one can hold a candle to you. You lit up the stage like no one else did that evening. you blow me away.
Also, we would love to have you up for a weekend to have you and Tonya teach and do a show for us! We’d love to see you….
It is peaceful, clean and tranquil up here. Walks on the beach, wine tasting, good food…. And for those who are outdoor enthusiasts -- kayaking, hiking, biking….. /We are pet friendly….. Did I convince you yet?/

You guys are the Jerry Lewis' of the Belly dance world... marathon champions! Thanks for all you do to make us comfortable. Food before the Celebrity Show was awesome. Tasty goat cheese.
I had such fun in my workshop. Class was full. It was really a blast.
Thanks again for making me a part of the competitions. The highs... the low's.... the sleeplessness, It's all great. You ladies truely are THE VERY BEST at what you do!

BDUC 2009 couldn't be any better!!!! That was a great honor for me to take part in this competition! I feel soooo happy to finally meet you and get acquainted with you!!!! I was amazed by the organization of the event!!!! I was amazed by the friendly atmosphere in dressing rooms and in the Competition in general!!! Hi Tonya and Atlantis,

I was at BDU on that Sat. and it was a great day!!! The performances were really enjoyable. It made me miss dancing at Koury's! I would love to dance at your next available night as the "break girl" or to live music! Which ever is available first. You both do such a wonderful job representing the art of belly dance!

Dear Tonya & Atlantis,
As always, It was so wonderful to see you! I'm sorry we did not have time to visit. You never cease to amaze me with your organizational skills. The Belly Dancer of the Universe Competition was a great success again this year. There was so much excitement in the air. When I was not judging I was in the audience enjoying the contestants in their amazing shows. Some were so creative and threw in some surprises. The surprises are what makes an audience notice one performer above another.
Making the event even more fantastic for me were all the vendors including John Bilezikjian, Ali, Emil, Liliana of Belly Dance,* *A Raqs Sharqi Magazine!, Andrea Farese, Miles Copeland and many others. They do add a lot of color and sparkle to the event.
I really enjoyed the Celebrity Show! So much fame and talent under one roof! WOW!

Greetings!!!!
 I just wanted to write and say THANK YOU so much for all of your kind wishes, support and concern. Claudia(injured half of Belly Dance Soulfire) is doing much better. She tore her calf-muscle very deep but is having a fairly speedy recovery - the doc has ordered 6 weeks of rest, the good news is that it is not a injury that will inhibit her from dancing, just one that will take a bit of rest. She is already on only one crutch!! YEAH!! I really appreciate everyone's care. It was such an amazing weekend and I was honored to be a part of it. I was ecstatic to be around so amazing and talented legends of our sacred art. I am so glad I had the chance to meet so many of you, watch your lovely performances, perform for you and share our passion for dance. It was a memorable and fabulous expierance (well of course for the calf-muscle thing).

Hi Atlantis!
I want to thank you for the hard work you and your mother do to put this competition together. It is my very first time going to a dance competition. I did not make it to any of the finals, but I didn't loose anything. I got back home with a big smile on my face and I am very happy I got to meet all of those beautiful and amazing dancers. I did not win any trophy but I made so many new friends and it have gained so many great things out of this.

This has been a long time coming, and I'm still overwhelmed by the experience, but wanted to take the time to thank you for a wonderful BDUC 2009. I was so honored to be able to participate in this awesome event again this year. As every year, it has been an exciting, exhilarating and inspiring experience.
